History of the School of Education and Allied Professions

The School of Education and Allied Professions was opened in 1920.  In 1960, the School of Education resumed it gradute program and received full national accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).  Originally known as the Division of Education, the school became known as the School of Education during the 1961-62 academic year and during the 1999-2000 academic year it became known as the School of Education and Allied Professions.
