In Spring 2022, the library installed wireless audio capability in the Rose Gallery. Inside the tech closet, there is a two-channel receiver, a wireless handheld microphone, and a wireless lavalier microphone. The projector and projector audio is also controlled from a panel in the closet.
To set up the wireless microphones
Confirm the main receiver unit is turned on.
Open the drawer and remove the mic.
Flip the microphone’s power switch to the “On” position. Check the battery life to be sure there is enough battery to last for the duration of the event.
Locate the control panel on the wall in the closet.
Press the Control Mic button. A blue indicator light should appear above the button to indicate it is active
Use the dial on the panel to increase or decrease the microphone volume.
NOTE: This system is configured to use only one microphone at a time. Trying to use both microphones at the same time may result in audible feedback.
To turn on the projector and raise or lower the projection screen:
Connect a laptop or other HDMI-enabled device to the HDMI or VGA ports located on the east wall of the gallery
Inside the tech closet, locate the control panel on the wall
Touch the Display On button to lower the projection screen. The project should turn on automatically and the device connected to the HDMI/VGA port should be displayed after a few seconds of warming up
To play audio, touch the Control Source button. A blue indicator light should appear above the button indicating that it is active
Use the dial on the panel to increase or decrease the projector volume
