In Spring 2022, the library installed wireless audio capability in the Rose Gallery. Inside the tech closet, there is a two-channel receiver, a wireless handheld microphone, and a wireless lavalier microphone. The projector and projector audio is also controlled from a panel in the closet.

To set up the wireless microphones

• Confirm the main receiver unit is turned on. 

• Open the drawer and remove the mic. 

• Flip the microphone’s power switch to the “On” position. Check the battery life to be sure there is enough battery to last for the duration of the event.

• Locate the control panel on the wall in the closet. 

• Press the Control Mic button. A blue indicator light should appear above the button to indicate it is active

• Use the dial on the panel to increase or decrease the microphone volume.

NOTE: This system is configured to use only one microphone at a time. Trying to use both microphones at the same time may result in audible feedback.

To turn on the projector and raise or lower the projection screen:

• Connect a laptop or other HDMI-enabled device to the HDMI or VGA ports located on the east wall of the gallery

• Inside the tech closet, locate the control panel on the wall

• Touch the Display On button to lower the projection screen. The project should turn on automatically and the device connected to the HDMI/VGA port should be displayed after a few seconds of warming up

• To play audio, touch the Control Source button. A blue indicator light should appear above the button indicating that it is active

• Use the dial on the panel to increase or decrease the projector volume
