Citation Mapping Tool

In UDiscover, the Citation Mapping Tool can help you explore how research is connected. When you view a result’s detailed record, the Citations section shows you two key things:

  • Other sources citing the publication after it was published

  • Sources that the publication cites in its bibliography or references section

Why Use Citation Mapping?

  • Trace the conversation. See how scholars have built on a publication’s ideas over time

  • Find more sources. Discover newer research that discusses the same topic

  • Strengthen your bibliography. Identify foundational or highly-cited works to include in your own research

  • Stay current. Find more recent studies connected to an older publication you found helpful
