Bluebook Citation Style

Legal citations often use the Bluebook style of citations, formally The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. In a condensed format, this citation style conveys the plaintiff, defendant, abbreviated reporter name and number, page range, and court. For example:

Acton v. Vernonia School District 47J, 23 F.3d 1514 (1994)
