Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) "refers to strategies that companies put into action as part of corporate governance that are designed to ensure the company’s operations are ethical and beneficial for society" (CFI). CSR has four general categories of initiatives: environmental responsibility, ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility, and economic responsibility.

This section of the Sustainable Business Guide lists journals, books, and organizations specifically focused on CSR. Subpages provide resources for researching sustainability standards and locating CSR reports.
