Tracking Down the Full-Text

Often, a full-text PDF is available to download directly from the database or publisher website where you discovered it. However, when you encounter a paywall, or any other issue preventing you from downloading the full-text, you may have to track down the article based on its citation.

  • First, determine what journal the article was published in.
  • Second, determine the year, volume, and issue are for that article. These can all be found in the article's citation.
  • Third, search the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Center for that journal and browse to the specific volume, issue, and year.
  • Last, check the listing of articles that were published in that issue and see if you can find it.
