Women's & Gender Studies

Chicana por mi Raza Digital Memory Collective is a group of researchers, educators, students, archivists and technologists dedicated to preserving imperiled Chicanx and Latinx histories of the long Civil Rights Era. The site is primarily comprised of oral histories.

The Center for LGBTQ Studies (CLAGS), founded in 1991, is the first university-based research center in the United States dedicated to the study of historical, cultural, and political issues of vital concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals and communities.

The purpose of the Digital Transgender Archive (DTA) is to increase the accessibility of transgender history by providing an online hub for digitized historical materials, born-digital materials, and information on archival holdings throughout the world. Based in Boston, Massachusetts at Northeastern University, the DTA is an international collaboration among more than sixty colleges, universities, nonprofit organizations, public libraries, and private collections. By digitally localizing a wide range of trans-related materials, the DTA expands access to trans history for academics and independent researchers alike in order to foster education and dialog concerning trans history.

Equality Archive contains unique assets—brief, accessible, fact-based, archival entries on a range of topics written by over 25 feminists who are professors, artists, and authors. Every entry is peer-reviewed, and each entry contains references, links to film, video, speeches, or music relevant to its topic. Every entry also connects with an opportunity to get involved—to volunteer or donate to an established organization already working toward a social good that must include empowered women.
