Documenting the Black Experience at the University of Dayton

Mission: In collaboration with individuals and offices across campus, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion develops, implements, supports, and assesses the understanding and advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the purpose of cultivating and sustaining Inclusive Excellence at the University of Dayton.

The Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC) provides staff, facilities, services special programs to support the academic experience of students. MEC staff members work closely with academic deans, faculty and administrative offices to provide a supportive campus environment based on the academic, social, and cultural needs of a diverse community of scholars. This center serves as a resource for the entire campus community while providing multicultural students and their families with an additional connection to the University.

The University provides opportunities to socialize and network with other Black alumni as well as hear from and support Black students.
