Disability Resources at the University Libraries

Parking

All vehicles parked on University of Dayton property must display a valid University of Dayton parking permit on weekdays: Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM,  Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

A University of Dayton disability permit is required when parking in a disability space.  Vehicles must display a University permit along with the state placard.  A visitor with a state-issued disability placard may stop by the campus Visitor’s Center to obtain a temporary University disability permit.  All marked disability parking areas are enforced 24 hours daily, 7 days a week. 

The closest lot to the accessible entrance of Roesch Library is P lot.

Building Access

The main entrance to Roesch Library is on the west side of the ground floor, facing College Park Drive.  This entrance is wheelchair accessible.  Access to all floors is via the elevators at the north end of the building.  Floor numbers in the elevators are printed in Braille.

Accessible restrooms and water fountains are available on all floor

Service animals and service animals-in-training are permitted and welcomed.  See Types of Accommodations for further information.

Emergency evacuation  Fire alarms are equipped with strobe lights for hearing-impaired users.  In an emergency, do not use the elevators.  Please contact the Library Dean's Office, RL 235, 937-229-4265, for a plan for exiting the building in case of an emergency evacuation.
