Graduation Checklist

1.  Apply for graduation: Candidacy Application

2. After applying for graduation, submit the following materials to the Graduate Academic Affairs at etdreview@udayton.edu:

     Masters Students:

  • Thesis Submittal Form (Attached below)
  • Electronic copy of manuscript for format check (See #3 below)
  • Registered Copyright (optional): Your manuscript is automatically protected by copyright. You may choose the additional protection of registering your copyright for a fee at www.copyright.gov/ecoFor further copyright information, please see the U.S. Copyright Office Frequently Asked Questions at (http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/). 

   Doctoral Students:

  • Dissertation Submittal Form (Attached below)
  • Electronic copy of manuscript for format check (See #3 below)
  • Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED):
  • Registered Copyright (optional):  Your manuscript is automatically protected by copyright. You may choose the additional protection of registering your copyright for a fee at www.copyright.gov/ecoFor further copyright information, please see the U.S. Copyright Office Frequently Asked Questions at (http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/).  

 3.  Once manuscript is complete or in the final stages (format check can be performed before oral defense), email Word or PDF file to etdreview@udayton.edu for a format check. The document's formatting and preliminary pages will be reviewed and returned with any needed revisions.

4.  When all revisions are made and the oral defense is completed, follow the instructions on the Submitting Your Manuscript tab.
