Oral History Kits

Roesch Library has two oral history kits and one external hard drive available for students to borrow. These kits can be used by students in the HST 498 course.

Inside View of the Oral History Kit

When you open the oral history kit, you will find the main components in the central compartment. The supplemental parts, like batteries and an SD card, are in the top mesh pocket. Optional cables for the audio recorder are in the front zipper pocket.

Main Compartment Contents

The main compartment of the kit holds the headphones in a soft-shell case, the microphone is a zippered pouch and the audio recorder.

Microphone Components

Inside the zippered microphone (mic) case, is the mic and mic cable.

Headphone Case

The headphones are stored inside a zippered soft-shell case.

Front Pocket Contents

Optional cables for use with the audio recorder are stored in the front pocket of the kit bag. The power adapter can be used in lieu of batteries to power the recorder. The Mini USB can be used to connect the recorder to a computer.
