Table Formatting

Use Excel's built-in features to create tables. Include a table name and table headers so users can understand the context of your table.  After labeling your table in cell A1, use the following steps to create a table:

 

  • Select the Insert tab
  • Select cell A2
  • Hold the Shift key
  • Select another cell to create a cell range
  • Within the Insert tab click Table or enter the keystroke Ctrl + T.
  • Checkmark the box for My table has headers.
