Accessibility Considerations for Microsoft Excel

  • Start your content on cell A1 for each worksheet.
  • Use built-in features to create tables
  • Add table names for each table.
  • Use table headers for each column.
  • Label each worksheet with unique names. Remove unused worksheets.
  • Add meaningful hyperlink text.
  • Include alternative text for images.
  • Use adequate color contrast.
  • Do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
  • Double-check your document's accessibility issues with the Microsoft Office Accessibility Checker.
