Where do I start?

1) Browse BibleOdyssey to read up-to-date introductions to critical scholarship.  Try searching the website for topics or characters that interest you.

2) If you're focusing on a specific passage (which is recommended!), look it up in one of the multi-volume commentaries to get a glimpse into the major issues of the text:

• Anchor Bible (1964 edition or 2008 edition)
• Hermeneia
• Old Testament Library

3) Use Old Testament Abstracts to read summaries of the latest scholarship.  Tip: you can narrow a search by scripture passage by clicking on the "Scriptures" tab in the top bar.
