Use “Menu” dropdown in upper left corner and enter address in “Zoom to Address”. When address is found, click “Link to WSS” in upper right corner. Click “Soil Map” on top tab on the WSS (Web Soil Survey site and look at the soil abbreviation that underlies your property on the map. Find the description for that abbreviation on the left side. Click on the “Map Unit Name” for a more detailed description and information. If that doesn’t work, go directly to the Web Soil Survey at the next link.
