A reference guide for how to use the Story Studio, an easy-to-use video recording and editing space.

Welcome to the Story Studio

This Story Studio is a multimedia production studio located on the second floor of Roesch Library between Concourse D and the north stairwell. It provides technology for recording and editing videos. To use the Story Studio, book a time slot online.

What is the Story Studio For?

The Story Studio can be used for a variety of purposes. Some examples:

  • Practicing presentations or speeches
  • Performance auditions
  • Recording video interviews
  • Promotional or introductory video for the "About" section of a LinkedIn page
  • Creating a multimedia project for a course
  • Live presentations / meetings (Please seek additional assistance for setup)
  • Making a Thank you video or special video dedicated for someone
  • Making a video for events

Recordings are saved in the MP4 format. You can edit them using Camtasia or Adobe Premiere on the Story Studio editing stations in Concourse D or use the software of your choice on your own computer.

Where is the Story Studio?

The Story Studio is located between Concourse D and the north stairwell on the second floor of Roesch Library. Left of the Main Elevators is where the Story Studio is located, with three provided Work Stations and monitors available. The Story Studio is labeled in orange.

How Do I Enter the Story Studio?

When you arrive for your reservation, check in at the Hello Desk in the first floor lobby of Roesch Library. A member of the library’s team will lead you upstairs to the Story Studio and scan you into the room.
